Teak wood on a boat can be a real hassle to maintain. All marine products from most paint stores will create a high maintenance surface. The photos below show how we scrubbed the dirt accumulated over the season off and then applied a coat of the organic boiled linseed oil to protect the wood. In the spring we may want to have the wood thoroughly cleaned to get ready for the season with the organic linseed oil soap depending how well the boat has been protected over the winter. Organic linseed oil, organic linseed oil varnish, organic linseed oil soap and the organic linseed oil wax are excellent marine products. They are completely safe for the environment, human contact and last much longer than any petroleum product.

Apply the linseed oil soap directly on the wood surface. Activate the soap with a few drops of water. Scrub with a stiff deck brush then rinse with a garden hose. No power washing.

When completely dry, apply a thin coat of the organic boiled linseed oil or organic linseed oil varnish. The surface can be very easily cleaned with the linseed oil soap and maintained with the linseed oil wax. All products are 100% Organic and made from organic flax seeds.
