Removing severe mildew on cedar siding with Organic
purified linseed oil soap.
Linseed oil soap (made
from purified organic
linseed oil) can be used very effectively to remove
mold and mildew on exterior surfaces.
Instructions:
- Wet the surface with a garden hose.
- Apply concentrated organic linseed
oil soap with a large brush. You can use a dust pan
and a hand brush to apply the soap on a vertical surface
works well.
- Scrub with a stiff decks brush until the mildew and
dirt is loosened up.
- Hose the surface down with a garden hose. No power washing
recommended.
- Let the surface dry completely before applying the
organic linseed oil paint
or you may just want to use the purified
organic linseed oil as a wood preservative.
NOTE: Always remember to apply thin coats of the organic
linseed oil paint. The organic purified boiled linseed
oil can be applied as a primer in several coats if the
wood is extremely dry. If you want a stain, just add a
few ounces of the Allback linseed oil paint into the purified
linseed.
