This castle just north of the small town of Ystad, Sweden
has been used as a training facility for the Allback window
restoration school because it had a large number of windows,
interior and exterior details that had been painted with
petroleum oil and acrylic paint for a long time. This had
caused serious deterioration.
A number of windows and the chapel has been restored
by the with the Allback linseed
oil paint and the Allback interior paint as well. The
last photo shows the terrible condition of a window in bad
need of restoration on the same castle and is on the list
of the Allback method. The complete character of the old
windows was maintained in the restoration process.
