The use of Falu or Falun paint dates back hundreds of years in Scandinavia. It is easy to use and a very economical, long-lasting protective coating applied to bare or weathered wood surfaces.

Traditional Falu Red Pigment

The most traditional of the Falu Pigment Paint options, the Falu Red immediately brings to mind the classic Swedish cottage or barn.

It never goes out of style, especially among customers of Scandinavian decent who are nostalgic for the Swedish countryside.

Traditional Falu Black Pigment

The Black Falu Pigment is also traditional but often inspires a little more modern aesthetic. Appropriate for a humble barn or a grand, new residential home. No limitations for this striking exterior finish.

Mixing Falun Pigment

Note: Avoid generic linseed oil from the hardware store as this may lead to drying issues or mildew growth. Work with high-quality Viking Purified Raw Linseed Oil with Falu Style Paint for best results.
