Window Sill Paint Removing and Raw Linseed Oil Treatment

This is a perfect application for the purified organic “RAW” linseed oil. Applying the raw linseed oil and then heat with the Silent Paint Remover ( www.silentpaintremover.com) will make the raw linseed oil sink deep into the wood preventing any rot for a very long time. Once it is heated, you can apply the organic linseed oil paint.

Fixing old glazing.

Using our organic linseed oil glazing on top of the old glazing without having to remove the old glazing will buy you time. Mix a small amount of turpentine into some organic linseed oil glazing to create a slushy compound. Brush this onto the old glazing. The mixture will soak into the old glazing and bond. You can then paint with the linseed oil paint on top.

Usually you can paint on top of the linseed oil glazing right away without waiting for the glazing to dry. When you mix turpentine into the glazing you must wait for it to dry before painting.

Old Wooden Storm Windows Are Like GOLD!

How many storm windows and window sashes have you seen on the side of the road over the years with old wavy glass and completely intact? The window industry has marketed replacement windows very successfully for a long time.

Most people do not realize that the old windows can be restored and will last many times longer, compared to any replacement window on the market today. You can have a window replica of your existing window made but then you have to fork out a lot of money (not to mention another carbon footprint). Restoring any windows with our organic linseed oil glazing putty and the organic linseed oil will last for 50 or 100 years with very easy and simple maintenance.
